Magic....
If there was one thing that the Draconians excelled at it was magic. Unlike most other practioners of the magical arts, like the stonelinkers and the wizards of the white isles relied on the elements to achieve their goal, the Noz had a deeper understanding of the power. Not that the Draconians did not have used for the Heartstones - Central to their great city was the Heart stone of the dragon. For ten years Anryéna had acted as spiritual guide for her people; ever since the dragon disappeared and took the Nehantic. In all that time her main focus was to fine a way to return the Dragon to Guem.
Anryéna spent most of her time in the small pocket dimension where she could meditate on the problem without the constraints of time. Zahal too had used this place to train for what he said was years, but was in fact mere moments outside. Sleep deprived and frustrated Anryéna knew she was close to a solution but something was blocking her, some secret still remained hidden. From her vantage point in the void she could look out upon her city and her eyes fell, as they often did, on her husband Marloc. Marloc and Councillor Dean Verace were deep in discussion. using her magics and the trust she had built with Marloc she entered his mind and saw the world from his eyes. The two learned men were pouring over the pages of the book of Eredan. It was on the subject of the Mangepierres, the Guemelites Guem and doors of the Infinite that they found of interest. Of course she knew that Dragon and Nehantic had left for the Equinox, though the doors of the Infinite. Unlike the efforts of the stonehearts and sap hearts, she did not want to open a door, she needed to enter with more stealth. For this she would need to make a door of infinity herself, just as the Dragon had. All efforts so far were failures, at best she could transport her self to another area of Guem. Here however on the pages of this book was the solution given to her on a silver platter. All her attempts were by using the magic of the Dragon, to succeed she needed a deeper magic the magic of the ancient Guem itself.
Kounok the prophet looked with love upon the three women in his life, Anryéna his mother, Ardrakar his wife, and Loryana his daughter. "Are you ready?" he asked "We are ready Father, tell me where we are going; to War?" Loryana asked with enthusiasm of youth.
"My mother did not tell me, except that we are to take a trip and their might be the need to fight. So yes there is the risk of confrontation," Kounok said checking the armor provided by Arkalon for this daughter, before he returned to his eternal rest.
- Well, well, a little quiet. I prefer to know that only our side here, argued Kounok, cutting the embryo dispute between the two. Anryéna ahead, do not keep them waiting.
"Your words prove my point, Pride is a serpent that has bitten me; I do not wish to see you suffer the same." said c "Give us a little quiet my beauties, I would like to show the world a unified royal family. Ahead Anryéna awaits us, go to her now.
Anryéna, visibly exhausted looked lovingly upon her granddaughter. "You have grown since last I saw you. You are unique, never doubt that, even as i look at you I see the the blood of the Dragon in your eyes, made sightly more black by the blood of your mother." said the daughter of the Dragon as he placed a kiss upon the forehead of Loryana. "So mother, will you explain to us where we are going?" asked Kounok eager to learn more. "I managed, my children to open a portal to the location of the dragon," she answered. "Incredible, how will we get to him?" asked Ardrakar. "Through the bonds of ... Family. Kounok and Loryana carry blood Dragon, like me, it is a strong bond that will be useful. However I will not see them off without you Ardrakar." Answered Anryéna. "Thank you for your trust mother, I know our relationship has not always been as such," said Ardrakar her head bowed. "You proved you could mend your mistakes, I have no reason not to trust you," answered Anryéna. "Well where do we go from here?" asked Loryana in excitement. "I want to find the Dragon!" "Small and Impatient, yes my sweet I will open the gate. Come with me." Through magical means the four were transported into the heart stone of the Dragon. While Anryéna and Kounok were accustomed it grandeur, the two younger woman were awe struck. "You are in a place of magic, the glyph I have made are of the magic of Guem," explained Anryéna. As the Archmage stretched out her arms the power of the place was felt by all. A gate way open before them, the Exinox but a step away. "The Dragon should not be far off, if you get lost rely upon the Dizery," Anryéna said pointing to a small winged creature that perched on Loryana's shoulder. "If we should cross the Nehantic ..." began Kounok, but his mother cut him off. "You are not to confront him, Find the Dragon and follow his words." "I take note of your words mother," answered the prophet. The Three Dragon Knights found them selves in a hostile desert landscape where dark clouds we lit by small flashes of light. "I find this Pleasing," Said Kounok.
