the calculation is wrong... +2 attack and 1-3 direct damage depending on how many enemy chars are living next turn... thus this cards points value reaches from 2-5 depending on the situation.... which puts it in line with the lance, no? And even though this card was patched now, it does not mean that it can be played only by hom'chai... with ^^ do the calculations if ou want..

Oh, i didnt realize that every enemey recieves the dmg.(the wording oposing should maybe be replaced, because in most kontexts oposing is referign to only the 1 oposing char. Maybe write all enemy chars recieve x dmg) Yeah, it is kinda on par with the lance. Although it might be too slow it is, because you aktivate it for a smal lbenefit and only around the second time it gets...ok.
And yeah, i think its ok to demand nerfs and buffs. Top tier op decks could be nerfed and new playstyles could be redone like it is hinted with the dk marodeurs. the reworks can create some strong cards but you need to be carefull to only make them viable for thse decks and make them useless for the already strong decks.
I when writing my versio nof thorn i thought of giving rise to a counter dmg deck maybe. Would fit with the thorny theme
And for calculations you have a 5 point benefit with a loss of the 2 atk at the start of your turn. Which isnt tooo great. So its not a permanent gain but rather just the 5 dmg no matter what happens. A end of turn effekt might be more consistent and in line although that might be quite strong. with an instant 5 point benefit with the upside of killing outfight chars. a more balanced version would be 2 Fights. If this card is discarded do the dmg

maybe if you want to build an item spam deck womt work, but with an action themed deck it will be nuts 6 dmg + chain... lol

That might even work, though i dont know if its worth it to have in exchange no items in your deck.

Well, thorn is just uncommon and thorny situation is always considered as a junk rare. So I think only some players will use them, which mean its cost will be pretty low in standard format.
While the cost might be low, I think its effect is pretty good right now. You can make a good low cost deck to compete in standard format, add some legendary to make the cost near 500 and you can aim for top 50.
