I'd go by the logic that though they hate magic there are certain things that can only be done using magic and so they put up with it to achieve objectives that they need magic for. There's only so much you can do using physical strength and occasionally you need magic.
Also I do think Sap hearts who live in forests would get a bit annoyed with a giant walking Fire Elemental.
