ok, but why not Zil, the living shadow? also, without shadow spells other than agony and cloning, what should I put in?

Zil the Living shadow > Archmage artrezil in most cases with shadow agony(doesn't rely on discard pile for spam)

If you're gonna go with Cloning and Shadow Agony, you have to drop the Favor of the Night from your deck. After 3 turns, it messes with your discard pile in terms of Cloning. Archmage Artrezil will have a hard time dealing with that as well.

We've all stated that mages aren't really the best for agony spam. The best lineup is abberation+Spooker+Zil the living shadow. AoE+Beast attack= Spam win.

Archmage artrezil does better in regular shadow mages with abby+Kuraying/Mallascaria, Turned to the shadow side/favor of the night/night vision uses a completely different playstyle than agony.
