I just came back after taking a few months off and noticed a bunch of new DK Cards. Here's the deck I currently put together and reasons for the cards I've included. I'll appreciate any feedback on how to possible make it better/a tournament contender.
Characters:
Ardrakar
Absalon
Commander Zahal
Pros:
-Strong base stats.
-Absalon/Ardrakar synergize +defense well
-Ardrakar and Zahal can almost always chain
-Absalon greatly boosts +damage for weapons (automatically gives it to Zahal)
Cons:
-No weapon chain (means no chimera + TLA + Dreist for easy first turn kill, although similar combos are still possible).
Cards:
1x Chimera (2nd best dk weapon, spread state, huge heal)
1x Dreist (best Dk weapon, can duel wield with chimera, great stats, free to zahal)
2x Noz'Dingard Sword (+damage/heal to entire team)
2x Admiration (order bonus, chain, permanent damage boost)
1x Artrezil's heritage (+5 attack advantage no matter what)
1x Back to Noz'Dingard (similar to admiration, but +defense and permanent)
2x Crystal Dragon (nice chain card with magic damage, can snipe low health enemies but it's also random
)1x Cut and Thrust! (counters weapon stacking, Huge damage to high def enemies when used with magic attack)
1x Dissidence (was the #1 counter in the game last time i played)
2x Magic Attack (0 defense is always a plus)
2x Knight's Honour (not sure about this one, decent chain card, but this deck has no problem chaining, stat's are mediocre and best when last character standing).
2x Shape of a Dragon (Mediocre stats, but counters nehant and lasts 4 turns)
2x The Dragon's Champion (huge heal when combined with chimera/dreist)
1x The Last Action (huge damage)
1x The best defense... (see above)
I was also thinking about adding in 2x Dragon Knight Armor to replace Knight's Honour. The stats are similar, but the armor is permanent and can make zahal almost invincible.
