Is it even possible for Trackers to do anything vs the Witchblades and Demon beatdown decks that lurk in the 'basic'(Biggest lie they sold us)? Here's what I'm working with so far.

Cards I'm debating about are and maybe . So far, I wish it worked better. But Witchblades tend to gimp my stats and Demon Beatdowns are able to take blows a bit better than my Trackers.

Thoughts?

Heya,
I tried playing with trackers in Basic and failed miserably. I tried with 'Art of tracking'. Maybe you could combine 'Acrobatic fight' with some Firons to increase damage output quickly, but I noticed that in Basic you can either defend your Trackers OR deal decent damage per fight. Doing both in one fight is nearly impossible in Basic. They just lack defensive cards.
But good luck. If you find a way, please post it here. My Trackers are sitting on the bench for a long time now, would love to change that.

I played tracker in basic and had some success with it.
It is for sure not the number one deck but you can still beat witchblade and demon with it.

The main probleme is Tsuro.
He is realy weak charakter and has low defence stats.
You have to survive the first 3 turns or at least kill the enemy in the same turn.

Matchup
Witchblade - Kotoba (60 - 40)
Demon - Kotoba (45 - 55) slightly better match up for kotoba
Elfine - Kotoba (30 - 70) will win you nearly every game ;)

Here is my deck list...

Amaya(human version) - Hime - Tsuro

3 x (good card to play 3 cards and get high stats)
3 x (strong 4 stats card and good for acrobatic)
3 x (best chain if you have more then 1 in your hand discard one)
3 x (last chain for you give you most time + 3 atack or more and is permanent and akivate in the same turn)
3 x (great card against witchblade) OR (If you play against lesser witchblades)
1 x (more equip to play)
2 x (chain for you or use it after a )
3 x (great defence and chain for your equip)

Combos you want/can play...

+ + + = 7 attack 2 defence (4 attack permanent)
+ = 5 - 6 attack 2 defence (1 attack permanent)

Update.

Trackers can't win vs anything. So much for a 'cheap' deck.

As Mckeu, it's hard to play due to having to play defense or offense in your cards, compared to Demon being tanky, or Witchblades being able to play both in their turns.

War trackers might be okay, but there are better decks. And I was trying to make a cheap deck given that Basic is supposed to be 'easier'.

There are no "cheap" decks if you are aiming for the top sadly, as far as I've seen

Tested War Trackers. They don't win.

The problem is they do not have the Defense or the Attack of other decks to even try to be used in Basic.

Witchblades - Are the best deck in basic. Lots of damage and defending power thanks to and . And for pure damage.

Demons - able to raise their attack much faster than Trackers, and have enough normal defense and debuffs to not worry about Tracker attacks. Even if they go though, makes them hit like a truck if they are low enough.

Discard - Too defensive and doesn't care about attacking. is very good when Trackers try to play , and they just get their defense high with and .

Temple Guardians - Yes I actually played against enough of them to figure this out too. Heal to much and are very good at manipulating stats. Most the damage will be healed or tanked out, while their own attack goes up thanks to and


Trackers are useless in Basic, which makes me continue to ask who was in charge of deciding what cards are allowed in basic and what aren't.

Actually, I did fine with a tracker deck. But it kinda loses to the "more advanced" deck such as Saps Nature Guem, Nozs Dragonknight/witchblade, etc. Trackers would be nice for a lower level player but it's tough to get through once youre lvl 15++. My deck:

Kotori Kage - Shengdi - Hime (pretty cheap, less than 5k)

Items:
1x Kunai
1x Shuriken
1x Firon
1x Kaiken
1x Bokken
1x Smoke Bomb
1x Tracker's Mask
2x Tracker's Emblem

Actions:
1x Acrobatic Dodge
1x The Art of Tracking
1x Assassination
1x I Hate Mystics
2x Makeshift Weapon
1x Nick
1x Origami
1x Self Confidence
1x Art of the Iron Fist
3x To Track Down
1x Wanted

Spells:
2x Akagi No Jutsu
3x Katamaru
1x Shadow and Steel

I specialize in characters with high spirit (the chars have advantages) and usually the opp would be down to 2 characters in 3 turns. The strategy here is to start with kotori kage and tracker's emblem. Use the first three turns to put to track down. Also play with spirits (Akagi No Jutsu + Katamaru/Art of tracking) and you'd be fine.

That might be decent, but it is unusable in the Basic format which was the point of this topic in the first place.

I'll just save up for Demons or Witchblade. Maybe sell my trackers to fund it.
