The idea of using captain is to utilize heavy weapon, pirate party, and fast pocket shooter one shots. The addition of EMP Grenade chain is also welcomed.

I had a pretty good run with this decks, beating runics, nomads, stone linkers. The problem is with one shot decks such as zil daggers, and also mage blasts.

Any thoughts on how to get it any better?

Well, you have two choices if you wanted faster damage/your own chance to one shot you should consider taking out the Pirate Grenades and Conquer and Perish for flames of the phoenix, supplying, infernal cricket, sham powder, gone with the death, or time to die.

Or you could attempt defense with Tar and Feathers, The Pirate Code, The Plank, Itching Powder, or Mechanic Hornet
