Just gonna throw this out there.
Most tcgs are essentially the same, in the sense that there are: "character/monsters" "effects/buffs" "permanent/temporary cards" and so on. But the 2 types of cards I want to specifically talk about are what I will label as "Threat" and "Arena".
Now, anyone who is familiar with card games especially one like Yu**oh or in the case of "Arena" Po**mon, will know that both of these games use such cards under the titles of "trap" (Yu**oh) and "Stadium" (Po**mon). I am mentioning these two games specifically due to the fact that they are a strong basis for this topic.
So, Threats, much like "traps" would be cards that are not view-able by the opponent and only activate at a certain time, and Arenas like "stadiums" would be cards that would either affect one or both players and are usable (by choice in some cases) once every turn for as long as its in play. For example:
Have At Thee! Action - Threat Permanent. Can't be seen by your opponent. Only activates when the opposing character is the 1st to attack. Attack and Defense +1 and if your opponent is wearing a weapon it is discarded before he does damage. This card is discarded after it activates.
Grave of the Ancients Action - Arena Permanent. You can choose to activate this card once every turn. If activated one of your characters (randomly chosen) will get +1 Spirit and Defense till the end of the turn, but the opposing character will receive it as well. Flavor: We all got family buried here somewhere.
Again these are just examples, and no I'm not trying to suggest the Eredan be more like the other 2 games I mentioned. The point of this topic is mainly to show that Eredan has plenty of possibility for new and different types of cards, with Threat and Arena just being two of those possibilities that could add plenty of new deck strategies and game diversity overall. Just something to think about.

If traps are added to the game I think they should be visible in the moment of their activation or everyone suspects a new bug appeared. xD

Then, I have an arena for marauders:
Sharping the blades Action-Arena Permanent. You can choose to activate this card once per turn. During the fight the attak bonus of bouth charakters will be doubled.
- for fighters could be the same card with double-defense - for mages / priests could be the same card with double-spirit
