I have talked about this topic in several occasions and it has always been my counter argument for implementing and even suggesting cards that attach automatically in first round... and as i see that people are still going to keep suggesting new cards that attach automatically i want to propose this:

Each card that automatically attaches to a character in the first round is to increase the minimum card limit in that deck by 1.

the problem: take a zil dagger deck in amnezy... we can draw 5 cards out of the deck: the big means, 2 daggers from arckam, the zil familiar and this golem hand device

now a slim deck is fast, it has a higher chance to draw a combo in first round... in my point of view that is getting dangerous... especially with certain decktypes that counter a lot... the suggested rule would adress this problem and somehow even the chances a bit

please feel free to give any kind of feedback on this

Would be a nice ídea.
Restricting the game to 1 of those cards might be another aproach to that, so you have to decide if you want a dragon, the claw....

I am no fan of ban-like-restrictions, so I prefer calandras idea.

Also a good minimzed deck has a weakness: deck death (but when you play recycle in that small deck, too... but who does that?)

Calandras idea just may be hard to program with cards that needs each other:

Like
- without those 2 daggers does not up the mnimum card pool,
- each dagger once do up the minimum card pool,
- but any further dagger of that type does not up the card pool.
- one dagger 3 times and the other not means only 1 card more to minimum deck

But talking about Amnezy I think the legendary only decks are more dangerous, than a functional minimized deck.

But talking about staff like this, why not restrict legends in that way, too:
Every legend adds 5 cards to the card minimum. So using legends does force you to grow bigger decks and legendary only decks cannot exist, because they grow to big, since 3 legendaries have a deck minimum of 35. The maximum are 6 legends, that force the player to a deck minimum of 50.

We lost the balance too bad since the damned sacred cards.

Though im not to big a fan of strogn legendarys, this would make them useless.
Like in every card game, slim decks are the best ones.
If yo uhave an op combo that can ohko the enemy no matter what, it is irrelevant how much cards you have left.
So id say every card would be weigned with extra slots with a keyword
Cards liek arkham would always add 2 extra cards because it is easier.
And if you dont play both daggers then its your fault.
e.g. Arkham:
Decksize +2
Schield of shadow and light +1 decksize
.....And so on

i dont think that programming difficulty will be a good excuse not to implement such a rule... i m not having any experience in computer languages n stuff but i can build an easy formular in excel that would check exactly these kind of constalations you re talking about cat... and if i can do it with excel... well...

Why not make it so the cards read:

"If there are 26 cards or more in your deck: At the start of the game."
"If you have 3 arckam daggers"
"If you have 10 items"

Making it so these cards need to have a thicker deck before they attach themselves.
