This idea was presented by Calandra in the old forum as Area/Realm/World-Cards: http://forum.eredan.com/viewtopic.php?id=50605I thought I would present it here too, but I'll name it Overcard. They are similar to the Vanguard Cards from Magic the Gathering: http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/produc ... roductinfoHow does it work? 1 - Overcard starts in play, is always active, and visible to the opponent.2 - Each Deck can only have 1 Overcard.3 - Overcards are OPTIONAL.4 - Overcards either have a bonus and a penalty, or apply the effect to both players.Examples: Overcard A - You draw 1 more card in your draw phases, but you can only keep 2 cards in your hand at the end of the Turn. Overcard B - You start the game with 8 cards in your hand, but draw 1 card less in your draw phases. Overcard C - You do not draw cards normally in your draw phases. At the start of each Turn, 2 cards from your Deck are placed in your Discard Pile, then you draw cards from your Discard Pile. Overcard D - Both players play with their hands revealed. Overcard E - At the start of each Turn, before the draw phase, reveal the top two cards of your Deck to both players, you may then choose to Discard one of them.5 - Overcards cannot be removed from play, but there might be cards that affect Overcard temporarily.Examples: Card A - Ignore your Overcard for X Turns Card B - Ignore your enemy's Overcard for Y Turns Card C - Ignore all Overcards for Z Turns

Nurvus a écrit : No comments on this? I didnt like vanguard in magic. I doubt I will like vanguard in eredan. However, if it makes people happy, and doesnt interfere with the parts of the game I enjoy (i.e. its a separate format or doesnt work in the tournament rooms), I support its implementation. ^Usually the depth of thoughts I have when I dont post a response (unless prompted).

It looks a lot like cards attaching at the beginning of the game: looks exactly like what you want... The only difference is that they can be discarded and you can have more than one. But It is really close to what you want.
However, I really like this idea. (I would really like to be able to draw 6 instead of 5 cards...)

I like -Look at the top two cards of your deck, then you may discard one. -You do not draw cards normally, at the end of your turn two cards from your discard pile are placed in your hand and one card from your deck is placed in your graveyard. The first one would be my fuel for nehants The second would have to be a global effect on both players so they don't get banhammered

I like the idea that they do not buff or debuff characters directly. The thing is that it would be hard to balance the Overcards out :/ I'm quite positive one would stand over the others in most deck, yet I agree it is a cool idea
