Most guilds have more than 2 castes and I felt annoyed by the fact, that the zil dagger are playerd like a caste without being one. So here is my suggestion, how to change that:

Everytime an opponent character damages your character, he gets x direct damage damage, at which x matches with the defense of your character.
knife-thrower: sacrifice 2: a dagger from your deck is played and your character gets 1 direct damage
the pack: defense +1 and one of your the pack-characters gets 1 direct damage, if an action is bound to any of your the pack characters.
Explantion: , , etc. give a good bonus, but the pack marauders are weaker than the pack warriors, because the can play less the pack cards like no axe and they do not grow unlimited.

I got the inspiration through a threat in the old forum, whe the caste "Merpeople" was suggested. Maybe these would be interessting today, too:

x = number of bonus on the stats of themselfe and the opponent charcters.
(Then the maximum was 18 but this could be highered with caste-specific cards.)
and in that threat they suggest the caste "Vampir". Could be nehant or undead courtisane character.
