and here I was hoping for a cleric tempus for the apostle to be buddies with. Instead it looks like another mage.

only because a mage can chain spells of all kind (the effect of chain its really helpfull), and mages are more competitive (in tempus at least, because they have some toolbox cards like double clay, and mental prison, to help to survive more rounds) than priest, with priest the only thing you can do is heal yourself
but with time warp at least you can chain time spells
