I feel like a fool after a year and a half playing the game .

My account just got reverted to f2p, that makes two of us brother, except I've been here since launch :/

Wow... since launch. I have to admit I started about Act 2-ish. Still here as I love the illustration but very frustrated with the Lucyan event (and Scargh for that matter). Too much grinding for normal people with life.

That is the point that Feerik must try to understand. It is well and good if we have 24/7 dedicated hours for games, but it is not the case.

The Equinox event was the best IMHO.

To encourage players to pay Feez during events, one of the best way is to provide "special" reward when buying boosters during event. Not the crappy "get x tokens". Actual specially designed cards plus some tokens. And not that level of grinding. At least F2P players have a chance to finish the event while paying players will get special reward for spending feez during events.

I do not see why offering decent incentive would hurt Feerik. Are they feeling phobic about people not spending money? Why not create some good cards to spend money on during event? They got to revise their business model . Just my 2 cents.

Fireball has never EVER gone back to the price it had for the first third of the first act (9.5k-12k, after act 1 you were lucky to see a fireball/Assassination at 30k)
I'm sure you remember the failed act boosters of act 4
Disparity of Act lengths between acts 2-4
Circus consisted of Ergue and Abyssien
Malyss was the only Crow
Ziltoba Courts were actually GOOD
As well as the one HELL booster that contained every card for half of the game's lifespan.
And the days where people QQed that sap hearts and Nomads were underpowered and ish was overpowered.
I can't recall anyone reaching 2k elo after Stoon rocked everything with his merc discard, which everyone QQed at because it went from Yilith, Eternal, Stoneater (The deck that wouldn't die) to Ateb Eternal Yilith.(Hooray for Mercy+Theft -_-) as well as the first deck to openly mock people with TWO ANS when they were still 500k+
Hell, the only reason I can't play competitively is that I was locked out of my facebook near the start of act 2(deactivated facebook,reactivated facebook tried to log in, said my account was linked to another fb and I didn't set an analog password), then locked out again at the end of whatever act 3 (I remember having a FOIL and FOIL facebook got blocked because of retards and the same thing happened) This account was made during
act 4. (In case a mod/staff sees this, I have had absolutely no access to either of those accounts during my playtime, and they were likely deleted in the wipe)

I'm not sure if it was halloween or easter 2011, but the event where all you had to do was catch little eggs(Nehantic Stones) that jumped on screen was the best :/(Pack buyers got cards that caught them automatically that could be placed in any deck)

As for the event, you're talking about a game that bullies you into buying boosters by killing your market privileges after a month.

One of the biggest problem i had during my time playing the game is the competitiveness , the second is probably the marketplace .

Most of the time money decides the winner of the match . You have low budget ? go play public room . You can afford for some good cards ? go play in 1500 - 1600 elo ? You have a ridiculously expensive favor of the month deck ? 1600 elo is right this way sir .

I rarely have any close or fun match , most matches are just one player completely destroys the other . That's why i don't really respect high elo players as much as i do in other games , sometimes they just cannot lose the match , just unable to lose .

If players were competitive without spending too much in the game , they would probably spend some of their money on somethig else in the game to support the devs ( event , trohpies .. etc ) , Feerik wouldn't need to find ways to get the money from events and i wouldn't think twice before buying anything for the events





And the market place , it's just terribly bad .

I have to disagree on that. I have been here for most of the marketplace changes and I would say this is the most stable so far.

In the old marketplace, you will not see "flavour of the month" cards value drop so sharply after 1 week of release. The only exception to this rule is the power cards that belongs in a ELO-worthy decks. And even that, it will drop in time (instead of 1 week, it will be around 3 weeks).

With the introduction of getting Standard cards using feez, that drove the prices down even further. 100K Rain of Death? Not anymore because Fireballs cost 99 feez.

So marketplace has come a long way from the old "rich monopoly rulez" scenario and I hope more changes will come to keep the marketplace positive (i.e. once players spend feez on boosters, unlimited/long marketplace access, etc.)
