I have played this game for years on and off and still am non the wiser on how to be good at this game/current meta anything. I don't even know how to make my own deck.

The reason I come back to this game over and over and over is because I like the art and the constant updates on cards but every single time I get back to this game I find myself lost within seconds. I'm just going to list a few questions which if any of you would be kind enough to answer would be great.

The market? Would someone explain the market? Now you can buy cards for feez, there is 3 separate markets to choose from, what happened?

The game? What does everyone play? I'm sure as hell it ain't level up room. Am I completely missing a mode? I must be.

I know this game is pay to win to some extent and I have money but so far I've put money into this game for literally nothing. I have 537,658 crystals from constantly selling decks and losing profit. I also have hundreds of cards in my collection, don't remember buying most of them. What the F*#k do I do?

Not gonna tell you how to spend your money, but when you Click Play, you have a "Tournaments" option.
That's what everyone plays.

Besides the 3 main options (Basic, Standard, Global) - where Standard is arguably the most balanced of the 3 - you also have occasional tournaments below, usually either Arena of the Border or Master's Tournament.

That you have to prove you can enter or pay to do so. Basic is a trap unless you have Witchblades/Demons, and Standard I'm not sure what the deck of the moment is. It might be more balanced but it's cards are harder to get and can get phased out.

As to why I play it, it's the most interesting gameplay of a card game I've seen for free online game. Art work is good, find the clans/factions to be interesting and it's still fast enough to play just to kill time. I just hate the business side of it.

What about people saying they 'grind adventure mode' ?? Whenever I play adventure mode I don't get even 1/4 the cards people are talking about. Is there certain bosses or quests you must do to obtain them cards or are they just given at random?

I sold a few cards and ended up with more than enough to make a runic war guemelite deck, not the best but I'm not going to spend huge amounts on a deck when I have no clue what half the cards do or know what's good/bad.

I've also noticed that the classic legendary's are still toolbox cards splashed in every competitive deck how well would you say a deck without them cards could fair? To get a new start and a hungry void would blow the bank for most players I assume so I take it they aren't needed to have a competitive deck they just help.

As I've said before I have no problem what so ever if it's a pay to win game, I have more than enough money but the thing holding me back before and even now is the fact I am still even after playing this game for years not great or have much knowledge of this game.

ok, few things i'll mention.
1) I was farming amnesy boss from sands of arena for 4 weeks, at 1 week she gave me very valuable cards like , then 2 weeks gave me only crap, but then she presented me . So this just happens. Sometimes nothing, sometimes very valuable cards. Of corse you should farm bosses, not simple missions for 8 energy. For a start - if you don't have good deck - you can farm runic mission - there is a good deck for boss fight(that's from what i've started).
2) Legendaries is very usefull, but i know couple of people who is in the top (and not only standart, but even amnesy) without any legendary cards at all (and i've bought my free diving not so long ago - before this i was in top without it too). So it is ppossible to win without them, just much harder.
3) I am having fun trading at the market - another aspect of this game. Not everyone like this, still i get a lot of fun, from reselling cards, waiting for special events and updates that rises costs. Now feerik destroyed economy with this weekly decks, still you can get some fun from this aspect of game too. BTW i bought all my legendaries with money I won from this trading
4) Another aspect is monthly events and weekly achivements - they give one more flavour for this game, but for new players most of them is quite impossible to achieve without paying - so this fun is for older players mostly (but there is exclusens, i.e. last event was open for everyone - just mask grinding with good rewards for new players)

So there is a lot of market in this game as in any free-to-play game. But for now, it is not very harmful for game process and it is not always you have to pay to win.

So a few more questions about adventure mode. Can you win any card from adventure mode? Also does the type of card you gain depend on the boss you grind?

Type no but guild yes for the rare cards. For example if you grind Inferno, you'll always get a rare nehantist card and Xzia will give you a rare kotoba card.

You can't have Legendary card from Adventure mode.

The bosses from "value of" quests give always rare from their guild.
Inferno gives only Nehantists rare.
The others bosses gives what they want.

Note that any mission can give you any card, but a boss mission guarantee you to have at least one card each time you succeed to beat him.
And look at the level of the boss, general feeling is that higher is the level, higher is the rare loot percentage.

Amnesy boss from sands of arena ALWAYS give only non-guild specific cards or mercenary guild (even common and uncommon) or eredan favor or exp. card

And i never ever meet a card from older events and so on. So only market cards as far as i know (before it was possible to get event card, but not sure about this)
