I'm referring to the one that was around during last May's event. It would be a great incentive for new players to stick around. Currently, they have absolutely no incentive to play the game at all. They play in tournaments, get destroyed by complete decks (and those dumb fucking soul cards) and have nothing to show for it but frustration. If they were given currency for participating in tournaments like you did with the last event (2 for winning and 1 for losing), they would be more willing to play. Feerik could make the store have several different options available like x currency = guaranteed random Sap rare or x currency = x act rare (for example). Just making it a random rare in general is almost as useless as the current 2 random rares we get in the monthly calendar. Letting you at least pick the guild or possibly the act of the rare would let newer players have some control over the deck they're creating. Feerik could also update the daily quests to make it give you special store currency instead of the small amount of crystals they currently give. This would also incentivize new players to stick around and would give them faster access to the decks they want to have. Booster packs should also grant special store currency. Newer players would be more likely to spend money if they were getting more bang for their buck. Getting a new pack of cards + special store currency to get more specific rares (as per my suggestions above) in the special store sounds like a pretty good deal. Lastly, the monthly calendar should not be removed. It was one of the very few good moves Feerik has made since I started playing this game back in Act 2/3. |
