Iron Mask and Azaram

for some reason it says that "you already have an upgrade for this character in your deck" when I try to put Iron Mask and Azaram in the same deck. I tried it with just those two cards.

This is a not very known rule, some cards have multiple changes through the lore, in this case azaram and iron mask are the same character, some of them are obvious, like anryena and archmage anryena, other examples are dimizar and zejabel, kararine and

You can only have different characters in your deck of any evolution, as non-char, for example, you can add 3 the last word or 1 the last action (in this case, because 3 is the limit of the last word)

The only exception known is if the characters share a forthcoming evo, like eglantine and moira
Characters like nadarya and Absalom don't, cigue and mashtok dont
