the problem is that feerik releases card every week. 7 days is too short for feerik to design cards and to consider its impact on gameplay and as well as the economy/market.

real tcg companies like blizzard and wizards of the coast releases 300 cards on average every 3 months. (which is like 100 card a month, 22 cards a week) but the key is that they spend time play testing the new cards they design before approving it. that way they have less cards to ban.

i understand why feerik cant do this. 3 months is too long for them (business wise). but i would suggest that they design the weekly cards months in advance so they can test it (maybe they are doing it already, fingers crossed).

but to be fair, balancing a tcg is hard. so many considerations have to be made in designing cards and the more cards that are already in the market, the more complicated it is.

SUGGESTIONS:
1. design/test cards with consideration for standard and basic formats. since global format includes all cards, the pro active banning is enough.
2. i also agree in nerfing/changing cards (as a sap player i already accepted the new ourenos). but i definitely think that the old ourenos must be removed completely (changed to the new one by force)
3. stop releasing cards that TRUMPS the present OP cards. it will just make it worse.
4. when it comes to deck strategies for each guild, stick to every guild's specialty (e.g. nomads = healing, nehant = loose life, linkers = magic damage). thank god castes are invented. they are aditional restrictions that can be used in deckbuilding. coz if you give a certain guild or caste the ability to do everything (perma removal, magic, physical, direct damage, healing, attack, def, spirit boost/nerfing, etc) while other guilds/castes are stuck to what they have, its UNBALANCED.

i know business is business. but loosing customers is not good for business... just saying...

i also agree with you. Somehow i feel like the game become more and more imbalance because of the new legendarily cards.

Also, i feel like a lot of caste such as eclipse, demon hunter, tempus, Tsoutai', avalonian are almost no one use it because it becomes so weak compare to other. Especially eclipse. The only it good is to kill nomad priest but i dont think people use nomad priest nowadays because it become super weak.
on the other hand, immoral become over powerful. with high hp and healing unstop (not add to the card with will discards other cards in game such as napsty's mask) almost only a few desk may win it.

it will be easier to balance if they keep it like "rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock" king of thing... the goal is that there should not be 1 deck that can beat all. all guild should have distinct advantages and disadvantages over different kind of guilds.

You definitively never faced a new eclipse deck: It's one of the most aggressive deck available at the moment...
They have really good toolbox cards and have enough survavibility to resist OS...
Maybe they won't top, but I'm sure they can top 50 in quilingo (and probably more)

One note: Ourenos EX should be removed from game, and its art should be given to the new Ourenos (wich has awful art).

I suggest to change every Ourénos with the new version (or make the old version PVE and friend battle only) and a lot poeple refused and think it was a bad idea (even a terrible one).

Why?
Black Witch and Shulong is stronger than him so he does not have to be nerf.
He's a legendary (he cannot be nerf because that) Never understand this argument.
He cost me 500 000 crystals so I can roll on everone and have my 1300 victory (at that time) trophy so I can refund my investement. Today, the new ourénos is close to that price.

I also suggested that everyone with ourénos Ex or a boss character have a mention in the room that they have uber character. SO every one who have a deck that is too strong for tournement have this mention.

I, at least, expected that do not whine that everyone leave face to them while using those character.

Edit : Personnaly : I prefer the new art. It look like he have more control, not ust some wild beast.

What do you mean?

Perhaps despicable is the wrong word.
And not all "legendaries" are truly bad.
As I said before, Iro doesn't feel "unfair".
Neither does Yilith, or Foam Giant.
Council's Banner seems fair too.

But cards like Mastery, Prestige, Ourenos, Nebsen and Pilkim are some of the biggest reasons fairplay in Eredan is abysmal.

My logic is simple:
If cards are banned, because they're overpowered, why can they be used at all?
Why can players abuse overpowered cards against the players that will rather play by the "rules"?

Give people cheats or god mode, and they'll use it. Over and over again.

Is it the players' fault? No. It's Feerik's fault.

Calling someone "despicable" for playing cards that can ONLY be used in a particular room in THAT ROOM is patently ridiculous.

Have you people complaining ever thought for a second that people playing nebsen in the level room (or Ourenos or Runic Legendary), which they have saved for months to purchase (possibly without spending a dime of real money) are looking to play against other "OP" cards, and get annoyed when they play against some shmuck using a garbage deck? The same arguments you are using to complain could easily be turned around on you from that vantage point.

Also, Nurvus, you are being a hypocrite. Ive seen you write about, and Ive actually SEEN you, using 3 character shu long in the level room. If you think Ourenos and Nebsen are unfair, how can you use 3 character shulong with any sort of pride or moral footing. I gotta say, I dont leave games before they are played when i face a nebsen or ourenos; I DO leave the game before a card is played when I face the waste of time that is shulong, black witch or big Kleenex. Those cards just blatantly ignore certain rules of the game when their opponent has probably constructed a deck to face 3 individual characters.

Too often is the word "fair" thrown around without any sense of objectivity. The people complaining in this thread need to expand their worldview outside of their own head.

Please re-read the original post of this thread and Ignore Nurvus, do not pay the troll toll on my thread please.

Schrei_VonWeisheit wrote:My suggestion/request, is that we change the PvP rooms so that there is a room for both tournament legal and unlimited basic, standard, and global restrictions

I'm personally tired of running into bosses and banned cards while playing a tourney legal deck.

In other card games, when players play person to person, if the game has a ban list, they discuss what format the game will be played, limited or unlimited, in Eredan, you'll probably run into Runics, Sap Strikers, And lightning pirates until you just don't want to play.

It makes the game easier to play for players that want to play tournament legal, but aren't good enough to participate in the tournament.

It makes it easier to pair off Decks containing (obviously) overpowered cards, and after a certain level, makes all the difference when playing against players of any level.

If this is implemented it will damper the balance issue.

Explaining the concept:
The normal screen is Adventure on the left, PVP to the upper right, and Tournaments. This would not change. Where it would say Training room/PVP, it would have "Limited"(Tourney bans), and "Global" which is the current setting of the only pvp room at the moment. This way casual players can still experience the game, while experienced -coughdisposableincomehere- have a room all to themselves for their overpowered cards. If there are cards that are unfair enough to ban in tournaments, why are they allowed in the rooms where people aren't/can't play competitively? It's bad for casual players, I'm no f2p either -__-

I understand that the general complaint I have with balance can be used from all points of view, even the people that I complain about may say the same thing.
If the level rooms change as I suggest, players like myself, who like to play casually by competitive rules, will not have to waste our time, nor your time, failing to compete against your deck at all.
The room those who've spent time, effort, and money to make their decks Uber(Because it really does come down to price), will be like the current level room without bosses.
The room for people who want to play the game in a unique way, or casually, there is a level room that has certain bans on it. Lets face it, it'll be the only way to satisfy both parties for what they've invested into the game. We can't use the honor system(Which irl tcgs use after a format is set) because we can't communicate with each other pre-game.

Everyone who plays this game should enjoy it.
The people who put more of anything into playing this game should enjoy it and be able to play what they earned.
The people that can't lob money or loads of time into the game can still enjoy it.
A room for everyone who earned/bought their uber deck to play competitively(People who would probably play irl Tournaments), and a room for everyone that can't get/don't want an uber deck(People who play with friends/themes).

The best part is, people who play by certain formats can progress through the game. If you're just starting, it's better to play Basic>Standard>Amnezy>Unlimited>Unlimited+Bosses, than it is to get to a certain level, then be pooled in with everything.

Runic Guems= Rock
Nebsen= Paper
Ourenos Attackers=Scissors.
That's fair for you guys, but other guilds don't seem to cut it.

I have, they're very aggro, there is no way to turtle against them, so if your deck isn't fast,(Doesn't deal much damage early in the game) you're boned. And all of the new eclipse passives make them very hard to one shot.(one of them has -4 to damage while tapped)
They're not unfair, I've seen them in the low 1600s(def top 50).
They don't stand a chance against direct damage demons and Witchblades, which do their damage in multiple methods.
I play DD Demons, everything is usually dead by turn 3, or there will be one character alive on both teams turn 4.
Nomad aggro has always been up there, since they OTK they don't have opportunities to deal more damage, so if you can sink them into the negatives before your character dies(so that Sent to the Graveyard doesn't heal them), you're in the clear to win by points.

I dont get why you dont just play in the tournament rooms if you want bans in place.

A more objective reply to the OP:

- The reason you want to play a Tournament-legal deck outside a tournament, is because playing in a tournament is often a bad idea, as prolonged play is likely to lower your ELO, rather than increasing it.
This should be fixed, rather than further encouraging players to avoid Tournaments.
Cards like Ourenos (EX) shouldn't be in the game.
The art should, because it's awesome, so as reward for players who got the EX version, they should get to keep the old art, but the character should become the same as the new Ourenos.
It's simple logic. If they acknowledged they made an OP card enough to make a new version, why did they keep the OP version in the game instead of just changing it?
- Where I agree with you, is that there should be a room where the ridiculous cards like Dark Kaes, Black Witch and whatnot are banned.
- As I've suggested before, properly ranking decks and splitting Rooms by rank would be the best sollution in short, mid and long terms.
