Many of you guys should know what is the Kickstarter. It's a place to fund big projects, such as games, gadgets, movies and etc. solely based on contributions (pledges) of individuals all around the world, whom find the project worthwhile their money. I know that Eredan is an up and running game for years and years, with over 2000 cards already released, with a strong gameplay, storyline that interweaves the art on the cards and explains some of the cards, and a loyal community base. However, many of the digital TCG players might either not know of the game, been put off of it because they found the hill they need to climb in the game is too high and expensive, or just could not find the time to grind upon the game, or any other reasons. Also, based on another online TCG, that was recently funded on Kickstarter, and made it 9th most funded project on Kickstarter ever, I realized how big of a market this particular genre has all around the world. I will not name the game, as it might contradicts the rules and acts as advertising the game, which I have also taken part in, but you can easily figure it out. They claim to be the FIRST REAL MMOTCG in the world. They asked for $300K to fund the game, and nded up with $2,278,255!!! That is %759 funded! which is ridiculous! I won't talk about that furthermore, and will get to my main point: I know Eredan is a web-based game, and the easy access to it is one of the strong points of the game. But I know that because of just the sheer amount of cards and how deeply it is developed, evolved and created, it makes a great base for many MMOTCGs of high standard that are not web-based, therefore do not have MANY of the limitations of what we have now! I know that the Feerik staff have some ideas and plans to make other Eredan based games in near future, but why not go big this time? The market is perfectly ready, the risks are almost non-existant (Financial risks, as Kickstarter can fund the whole thing, or just fails and there wouldn't even be the need to develop the game, so no money lost.) We can have the TCG that Eredan deserves, unlock its full potential and take it to the next level, with even some "Tablet" functionalities and gaming being made available on them! I'd like to know if this has ever crossed the minds of the developers of Eredan? Do they have any intention of doing this? Cause if this is a success, and is funded, then we can look forward to a better game, cheaper, bigger community base, and just simply more fun to play! Thanks for reading this long post!

Good idea, give Feerik a reason to stop milking p2p and stop murdering f2p by bringing in donations as well as having a PR campaign that'll sell itself. Sadly, no matter how much Feerik may raise with kickstarter, I doubt they'll make the game anymore accessible. It's taken them 3 years just to change their minds about sticking digital cards in multiple digital decks :/

It's all about breaking their habits and improve the game based on what the players want. They need to back down a bit, like they actually did, and introduced multi-deck usability of the same card, and many other features they're working on, recently. Also remember, game design and updating content is a very time consuming and expensive process! Design, code, artwork, bug testing and also reacting to the live game bugs whilst trying to balance the card releases to keep an already huge card game balanced, is a difficult task! They need money and resources, and the Kickstarter gives them those resources BEFORE they actually go into full development, therefore they will have the knowledge of their resources before committing to anything, so they can plan accordingly! Feerik has many many talented employees, I wish they could realize their potential, and how they can appeal more to the world! They have their hard work cut out for them, as their card base is very strong already! I wish I could hear more opinions from different players and mods on this topic, to see if this would be a good idea for others too or not!

Well, you can actually write this question in their Open letter to the staff thread, or the Q&A thread in the news section, it's a bit too important to die in the suggestions column lol

Any idea that would bring player diversity, reduce fiscal stress on players that pay and feerik itself, and would overall build on the community, is something everyone would support.

If there is competition of that caliber, Eredan will only be played by the people that have the OMGWTFBBQ rares until it slowly dies. There seems to be less people entered in the tournaments almost every other tournament(Last weeks amnezy had around 3500, last time I went into the room, only 27xx had entered), and from what I've seen, there are those with elo below 1500 for playing in amnezy, and there are those with elo above 1700 in amnezy, little in between unless a player is at a flat 1500(first time in the room), and it goes to show the gap between players (top 50 players are usually the same people) Hell, if you go to the last update for the tournament endings, the two Quilingo tourneys on the page it links to have 4 or 5 people on both of their top 10 list, and all of the people in the top ten lists always make top 50, which shows how much player diversity this game has very well.
