i do enjoy this game a lot and i understand you want to make money form people with events. but my god they are all such grind fests. i started full time work again about 5 months a go and since then iv not completed one event without paying( i got drunk and woke up to find i bought all the knight witch stuff)
now i dont have a problem paying from time to time but i would like to play and enjoy some events. not just pay because i feel the need to keep up with the joneses. the most annoying part is since then all the events have looked really good. i liked the look of the pod events but just had no time. like with this current event i knew i could never complete because i work 50 to 60 hours a week. whats actually stopping me putting anymore money into this game is the fact i know come next event i will have to pay again....and thats no fun.
so is there any chance of some events for those of us who cant spend all day sat infront of a computer?

I agree that at least expand the events to a week and a half at least just to let more people grind a bit more. luckily i got scarlet already to level 5 but i will not be able to get the spaulder unfortunately.

Events are usually like this. Grinding without paying to accomplish it in it's entirety consists of little to no sleep, if you have luck, and the proper cards required. The Erosion event was one of the few that was possible without the prior, but It's artwork instead of new cards so its still... On topic, this has always been an issue with Eredan's events.

problem i have now is that im actually not playing the game anymore. i look at an event and think i have no time for that, so why pay if its no fun. all im actually doing is log on and spend energy. weeklies i tend to grind out on the last day if its worth it and iv given up on the daily. i dont have the time to finish in a good position in a tourny so i register for the medalions then never play a single game.
im losing interest in a game i enjoy because everything they do is a lot of work in a short amount of time, i simply dont have the time anymore.

The thing with eredan, is that it's always been either a large investment money-wise, or a large investment time-wise. You're not the only one that feels that way, and the other active english members do the same. Grind out energy, register for medallions, then say meh and do something else. We've been trying to get feerik to make the game more accessible to a wider audience fora very long time, but it doesn't seem to fit into their business model...
Even if one can grind the events, I didn't enjoy this event, I was relieved when I grinded out enough to get what I wanted from it. Preliminary dread is not excitement -_- The rest of the game isn't really fun unless you put money into it, so, yea... Feerik said they have big changes on the horizon, I hope you stick around long enough to see them ^^

iv been playing quite a while, just not overly forum active(the black background and white texts makes me see floating lines if i look at it long enough lol) but yeah started a new job and just dont have the time. thought i would make this thread and try not to rant and to see if im in a minority with this problem.
i dont want to pay because i still wouldnt be able to play that much, so it would be paying just to keep up with people. i still like the game just wish i could join in and still make a living lol.

As we all do, I'm sorry that you're not getting the same kind of enjoyment you used to from the game, but everyone in their right mind knows that the real world comes first. Grats on the new job in these times of economic retardation.
All of the events have been like this for the most part, well, most prior events have been a little on the impossible side, regardless of grind time. People like us are the average consumer, which feerik hasn't really accommodated over the years. Hopefully we'll see a change for the better soon. At least check next months event :3

most of events are designed for the players that can actually use the advertisements he uses, mostly French, the big spenders and the no-lifers.

pretty much yes. I personally cannot afford either. I usually finish half the events and get what most suits me and ignoring the rest. i only spent feez once for the Xenleek event for the sole reason that Xenleek was a good boost for beating bosses in the adventure map. I leave the rest to the French, the rich and the unemployed or the ones with fixed job timetable, that have the time to finish the events.
If Freerik desides to help the rest of us have some fun, I may spend any money on the game. But spending lots of money for a TCG or spending few money in vain is not an option.
