To people looking to win Octavia:

level 2 or 3 is your best friend. Only out in the notes you need for the particular mission - you play 1-2 notes each turn, and Shengdi will immediately recycle them. This way you need just one note of each type.
For secondary characters look to something with damage reduction. I used and a random Tsoutai goon. is good too (and he's free).

To people looking to farm Concerto:

This is the easiest fight you'll ever have. Use 2-3 Unknown Courtiers: if you are this far you already have Octavia. Put her up with one more courtier and a filler. Any character, really. Or two courtiers, for a faster fight - but you need for that.
Deck cards? Put in all white notes you have, and only white notes. Any of unknown courtiers can play 5 of them in a same turn, and most of them cause health loss to the enemy. And they recycle themselves.

Overall, I'm extremely surprised and very pleased. You don't need to pay a dime to complete what ends up as a rather enjoyable event. Last time we had something like this was Equinox. Things like this return faith in this game to me.

Also isn't the only option for an unknown courtier if you use both and , ?

you are right, this is a noz courtier deck :/

Unfortunately, the Courtiers were always getting the short end of the stick when it came to team lineups.

Originally we had only and - even when came he was an event character; Leaking Cask Inn wasn't permanent.

And now with the new lineup we fall into the same problem: it is impossible to get a full team without another limited character, and (tho Octavia is really easy to get).

Just curious is someone at Feerik's team can answer, why are Courtier lineups always getting limited so badly by event characters? Real shame, especially because even with Farookh and Octavia deck based on notes still seems weaker than readily-available, standard Sitar Hero setup.

this is my deck, but isnt even playable (as 2013 deck), win conditions are octavia, farookh and gift-fiddle

won in turn 8 against a cheap avalonian, playing gift fiddle in turn 1, discarde in 3, farook and octavia alive because silence note spamming via concerto and a well played setence

i would preffer use the sitar version as said above, i think event courtiers are an exclusive deck, maybe they want to keep it that way
