If thats true will we be getting a champion mech for the pirates, a champion eclipse/immortal for the nomads, a champion time lord for the mercs (tempus is the only merc caste I can think of without either a legendary or a mystical), a champion priest/craftsman for the Runic Legion, and a champion... wait, Stone Linkers don't have a legendary yet...

I'm sure that they can't, but can the Champs be played in a deck together?
Dreist looks like 10 different kinds of awesome by the way. Now i just need a Champ for Runics and Linkers... Maybe the Runics will have their Champ in next weeks update.

I can see how this fails in Zil decks... just encountered both Zil and the Archmage in one deck in the tournament... very successfully.
So basically they managed to disarm all decks but one... like always. Balancing failed.

Actually, all champion can be played with legendaries characters.
But not in the standard format where only champions can be played.

Of course they CAN... but with most of them it doesn't make sense, since they chose to make them sub-castes like dragon knight, etc. :)
Only deck which can SUCCESSFULLY use them both in one deck is Zil.

It is required to succeed in a mission that you can see in adventure mode under the "thread of time" campaign.
