I feel like the mage version can be a stronger hand deny version because they can chain and , not to mention and to play them over and over

You're both right and wrong
Sure, mages can chain the spells and use them over and over again thanks to Edrianne, sure they can defend against physical damage thanks to Clay Double but they'd have to rely solely on to kill the enemy because they have no offensive power at all.

They're basically weaker because they can't end the match on their stats or orders alone.

Agree... luckily Nehantists do not have WitchBlades then ;)
