i plan on getting a 3rd crystal storm but i heard compendiums do good in the tournaments and yet im always getting creamed can i get some help?

should i use luminosity or the pythia?
i am working on getting breaking the second chain now and double clay (maybe?)

First of all - i'm not too good with noz, since i have not played them much.
But from my experience:
1) If you are going to run 3 crystal storms and that will be your main strategy, i would recommend getting 2-3 illuminations, throwing out all the other spells ( since other spells discard crystal storm) and using actions and items to support/tank your characters.
If you are looking for such a deck i could give you a base guideline in how to make a core crystal storm deck for Amnezy/Normal room.
2) If you plan on going Noz Blast - get rid of crystal storms - first of all they slow down the deck and have low usability in such a deck. For a Noz Blast look up some of the previous topics, there should be enough material for a core understanding of what goes into a Noz Blast deck.

Well, breaking the second chain won't help with your current game. Would be good to use to get tornado from your discard pile but that's all it can do. Plus, Compendium (Crystal Storm based) don't hold a candle to Nebsen, Ourenos or Thunderblast, which are the decks you find most at high elo.

The card you need most right now is . Next is to deal more damage with both Tornado (you need at least 2 of those) and Crystal Storm. Finally, , , some and can help to make you deck faster (played by Tanaer)

It will be very expensive, yet not so competitive. But most of those cards can be used in other mage decks.

so then i should probably just forget about compendium?

I just started playing this game again after a year off and there is just too much card removal in the game now to use crystal storm. Compendium is still playable by all means but in my opinion CS is just outdated.

so what should a compendium deck look like? without crystal storm

use characters that give +magic damage like alisk. not all characters can be compendium. pack a lot of damage spells with compendium secret and some supporting action cards.

but as was said above, if you still want to go with crystal storm, thats the only spell in there. all other cards can be actions or items that support the strategy and help your characters survive every turn. you can use compendium secret too.

A compendium deck without Crystal storm either plays or is basically called Noz Blast.
