Don't you finding this ridiculous, that almost the same people win the tournaments are in top 10 or top 50 of it every single time? Don't you find it ridiculous that a game that can be very huge, has such low competition in it? I've played the game for couple of years, on and off, and still can't get myself over 1600 in tournies, even tho I spent so much money on Eredan. Time for a change Eredan. Time to be novice friendly.
Have a look at this week and last weeks' results:
Quilingo Tournament ended on 06/15/2013 03:00
PLAYER RANKING 1st [CNE] statics (Elo 1760) 2nd [CNE] Jesus_Efrain_Rosado (Elo 1746) 3rd [Fr] I3oris (Elo 1740) 4th [Kel] Spandam (Elo 1738) 5th [FFF] - Tichan - (Elo 1731)
AND Quilingo Tournament ended on 06/08/2013 09:00
PLAYER RANKING 1st [IOS] Marco_Guccinelli (Elo 1715) 2nd [CMM] Angel_Yebrayebra (Elo 1706) 3rd [Fr] I3oris (Elo 1699) 4th [CMM] O Biosbardo (Elo 1697) 5th [CNE] statics (Elo 1686)
I won't bother bringing all the rest of the info up, have a look for yourselves, guys. I personally am getting sick and tired of this. Pay to win is not gonna survive in this day and age of gaming, anymore. Remember that it's a snowball effect, the more you win, the more crystals, the more affordability to have all the new cards, which leads to winning more. Leaving new or even casual gamers of not even being able to dream about getting near the top. Sorry if the comparison seems lame, but have a look at your tournament history, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Do you think that people will stay in the game if you can master the tournaments in 3 days ?

Not 3 days. It's be ridiculous from the other side. But I have been in the game, as a paid customer, and still nowhere near competitive. It may be my fault to some degree, but still the gap between even someone like me and thos top 50 players is HUGE. Games shouldn't be designed to create such huge gaps that can't be filled in a year even, unless someone splashes $1000 on it or so!

This is the purpose of the standard format. The number of cards is limited, so the decks are limited. Of course the released change the tournaments, but with some dedication even e dack from 5 or 6 weeks can do things in this tournament. And the cards needed to this tournament are available easily and in quite large amount, due to the available boosters.

The rankings he's quoting ARE the standard tournament, it still comes down to the top 50 having little to no deviation.

Last I checked all you really needed to do to be good in standard right now is shell out 999 fe'ez for the kotoba deck, so I'm not sure if really has anything to do with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer at least not until we get a few more act 9 releases.

GhooghnooS bought the crow deck. The deck is time limited on purchase, and is only doing well because it is a complete, working playstyle rolled up into the price of 2 newcomers boosters, opposed to the many deck archtypes that were damaged by the removal of act 6 without having adequate reinforcements as of yet. The time allotted to buy the crow deck is almost up, meaning after that, if you want to play crowtoba it's back to it's 100k+ crystal price. And if you were competing before, you either have to change guilds or wait for your guild's reinforcements before you can compete again.

remember, when the rooms flood with a specific deck, people with enough card resources quickly bring their anti-trend deck, which on high levels will obliterate the crow deck. People with those resources can change their deck later in the tournament, and benefit from the change in gaming style, but someone with just Crow deck will sit there and watch himself not even going over 1600! Crow deck needs a few tweaks and a few more of the s, to be able to compete against higher ranked decks. But check the prices of new Crow cards for yourself!
