So im new to this game, im about to pay for 1k feez, i need to know a few things that are unclear to me.

1.most people play global or standard?
2.what's the big difference between them?
3.what's the best investment in someone who is the new to the game?
4.are the pirates good?

Welcome to the game! Now, to answer your questions:

1. It depends on everyone's card pool, but usually the same people play in both of them. You won't have trouble finding an opponent in either tournament.

2. - Lucyan only permits cards from Origins base set.
- Standard is a rotation-type tournament. Only cards from the last 3 acts are playable (in addition to Lucyan's card pool).
- Global is the unlimited-type tournament where almost every card in the game is playable. Cards from monthly events are only playable here (powerful cards that you have access to some of them through Champion's Hall in the store).

Both Standard and Global tournament give access to the weekend's Master tournaments, that are Standard-type tournaments with specific deck-building rules.

3. Since you are going to spend feez in the game, the Wealth Gem from the treasures in the store is a very useful purchase. In my opinion, decks of the week are the best way to start in the game, though some are better that others. Next to that, you can aim for weekly trophy cards that you are missing and are needed for your decks. Also, I would advise you to build a deck for Lucyan (preferably a Witchblade or Nehant tanky deck), since it is the best way to learn the ropes and achieve some early success in the game.

4. Pirates have received a nice boost lately with the release of their Champion and are competitive, especially in the standard tournament.

Weekly decks are usually released on Wednesday (with new card release) and available until Sunday. It is a good concept to allow new players to have a near-complete decks to play on Standard whilst introducing the game concept to them. Depending on the flavour of the week, some weekly decks are weak while some quite strong.

They aren't viable anymore in standard. With almost all cards being released have defense buff and them having no option to reduce defense, their attacks can't go through anymore.
