The main change is the duration, which does not matter, if the charakter dies on the following turn.
And the damage reduction is just 1 on average per lightning spell.

No the main change is on damage... 2! a lot of caracteres have this in spirit( or more)... and today we have a lot of cards that reduce damage.
I hate thunder pirates, but agreed with Wolvos, they killed the card, but in desagree they don´t killed the deck. Still has a lot pull over the deck/graveyard.

They didn't kill Thunderstroke. The 4-7 damage and -0/4 attack are still there. They just changed the duration and the damage done when a lightning spell is played. In my opinion Feerik is actually too generous w/ the nerf. That card has a lot of things going on all at the same time.

But it still has its spirit reduction and attack reduction and spirit reduction every other lightning spell. As i calculate did 3 damage on average every other lightning spell, now it's a constant 2.
I really wonder why, this is moving the spell from OP to trash.

the deck is based in stacking lightning spells in order to do damage, thunderstroke was good because the damage done for every spell played, not for the base damage or the attack reduction, AND the 3 rounds duration

with the nerf is hard to abuse this card, but also, is hard to use it

now the deck need more (good) spells to make real damage, just like other mage decks have now

And that is a bad thing? You and I both know Thunderstroke has been far too abused since its release. This is actually a balanced nerf in my book. It is still a force to reckon with but not to an OP level.

for you is balanced, for me is a killer mod

there isnt anything else to say, i would be happy if the new thunderstroke last 3 rounds, because is a stacking cards decks, just imagine flawseekers with duration of 1 fight

Yes yes we all know you can't win without your OP/Broken. But flawseekers wouldn't lose to much even if they did that since -2 to damage suffer is pretty good. Also pet counts as 2 Flaw.

Agree on that last comment...

I believe there's no point in changing cards if you don't change characters as well. Izandra makes every mage deck a piece of cake to play
